Common Metal and Non Metal Materials - Basic Knowledge

The following chapters will share with you some metal and non-metal materials commonly used in non-standard design.

Before understanding materials, we first need to understand the basic knowledge of materials. Understand the physical, chemical, mechanical, and process properties of materials. In this way, we can comprehensively judge the quality and superiority of a material.

The physical properties mainly include electrical performance, thermal performance, thermal expansion, non adhesion, optical properties, etc.

The chemical properties we are talking about are relatively simple, which refers to whether the material is resistant to corrosion and resistant to rust.

The mechanical properties mainly introduce the hardness, wear resistance, strength, toughness, rigidity, etc. of materials.

Strength refers to the ability of a material to resist external damage, including yield strength, tensile strength, bending strength, torsional strength, shear strength, and fatigue resistance.

Tip:

Conversion of unit MPa to N/mm2 in yield strength.

1Mpa=1N/mm2.

1、1Pa=1N/m2,1MPa=1000000Pa,1m2=1000000mm2.

2、Substitute the above unit quantities into 1Pa=1N/m2,Namely:10^-6MPa=1N:10^6mm2

The obtained result is 1Mpa=1N/mm2
